Free since 2003. Killed by Facebook and my own bad decisions. Back, free forever, no algorithm, no ads, no charging anyone for anything. The simple version. The one that worked.

Musolist was here in 2003.
Musolist got eaten by Facebook.
Musolist’s founder made it worse.
Musolist is back. free forever this time.
Musolist is free.
Musolist has no algorithm.
Musolist does not sell your data.
Musolist will never run an ad.
Musolist does not know A&R from A&W.
Musolist does not care who your label is.
Musolist does not want your password.
Musolist does not want your phone number.
Musolist wants you to start a band.
That is the whole thing.
2003 → facebook → my fuckup → back
Started 2003. A janky little page where musicians posted “drummer wanted in Brooklyn” and “bassist, indie, austin.” It worked. People started bands. We grew into something good.
Then Facebook showed up and pulled everyone’s attention onto a feed. I got greedy, tried to charge, ran ads to make up the difference. The thing slowly stopped feeling like the thing it started as. I broke it. Eventually I let it die.
This is the rebuild. Same idea: free classifieds, no algorithm, no ads, no charging anyone for anything. The simple version. The one that worked. Forever this time.
