| http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/otherchildren.htm The Other Children is a Canadian rock band from Montreal. For the past several years, The Other Children has been building a buzz as one of Canada’s most intriguing and promising new acts. Their sense of originality and musical savvy has set them far and above the current pack of cookie-cutter rock bands. Comprising of members Ben Pelchat (Permabliss) on vocals/guitars, and Sam Dufour (Sweetsalt) on drums/percussion/backing vocals, The Other Children combine catchy rock tunes with avant-garde soundscapes and convey it all with pure Rock Star swagger. With varied influences, their sound has been compared to some of the industry’s greatest names including U2, Coldplay, and David Bowie. Yet TOC has excelled in carefully carving out their own sound. Their self-produced debut album has received much critical praise, and has risen to top 20 status on international radio charts. Love them or hate them, the one thing you can’t do is ignore The Other Children. |
