Paul Renna and songwriting partner, Dave Self performed a sold out acoustic show at the Liquid Lounge in the heart of Dallas,Tx. Deep Ellum. This performance included songs from Paul's solo album, Portrait, plus two new songs. On this night the magic was in the air with an unforgettable performance. Highlights include, "Sweet Jane" and Paul's version of David Loggins, "Please Come To Boston".

Paul Renna has been working in the music industry for the last 17 years. His soulful sound is a reflection of the passion he feels in his music. His professional career begin in Dallas at the age of 17. Paul was a regular performer in the Deep Ellum scene. Fronting bands Unknown Figures, he and his band gained popularity opening for band's Tripping Daisies and Jackopierce. Upon graduation from Highland Park high school, Paul went solo for a year continuing to work the venues in and around Dallas. His opportunity to move to Austin came in 1992. Austin, being the nomadic environment and music capital of the Southwest, enticed a new beginning into Paul's career. Fronting bands, Rhythm Child, his band gained the reputation as one of Austin's hottest live bands, opening for bands Ugly Americans, Little Sister, and Soulhat. After one live album, and opening for Blues Traveler in Alaska, the band parted ways and Paul formed a new band Jumptrain, who also toured Alaska. Another album and the band parted ways to begin new career paths. Paul's love of music continued to drive his talent with his current band, KingZero. The band has been touring and recording since their beginning. Look for another CD out soon as the band is in studio as we speak. King Zero's debut album is in stores now.
