| We are three guys, Derrick Egan (on vocals), Mark Roesler (on vocals and guitar), and Nick Trenn (on guitar). Three friends who decided that they wanted to make music that they (personally) would listen to. It all started around a campfire, playing some old rock and roll tunes. We discovered that we had some real potential performing together. Our friends and family put the pressure on for us to organize ourselves and collect our best songs as a set list…..perhaps perform live. Well, after much practice (and a lot of courage), we finally made it on stage at a little bistro on Main street. And the results…… we were hooked. After a few times on stage together, we settled in and got comfortable with it. Our sound got better every time. The crowd seemed to love us. Soon after, we decided to come up with some lyrics and music of our own. We thought we had some really quality stuff…..until it came time to do some demos that is! Working with producer Dave Pickell (Apple Tree Recording), we were instructed by him to write ten workable songs (within a two week period of course…). Out of these ten, we selected two songs which we believed had the best potential for demo success. Dave then began the process of teaching us how to improve our writing skills and how to develop a sound for ourselves. After two months of painstakingly and meticulously writing, and re-writing (and re-writing) these songs for the best possible lyrics as far as content and singablility, we repeated the process for the music and melody. Once that was done, we practiced the snot out of them until we were ready to record. It is now with great satisfaction (and relief…) that we present to you “Time” and “The Truth About You”. The two greatest songs we’ve ever written. We love them (of course we’re biased) and we truly hope that you will see the potential that we see for both our band and the music we have made. |
