| (more)Early in 2000, two 14 year olds sat in their high school classes and figured, "Hey, we sound like we'd wanna play together. Let's teach Anatole how to play guitar better and sing better and let's start writing songs!" All throughout the next two years, Anatole and Jimmy got together afterschool as often as they could to write songs. There was even a gig or two. However, as thoughts of a band came together in their heads, the search for compatible bassists and drummers fell short. Many disappointing people were tried, but none stuck. For a number of months in 2004, there was no band or playing together. Then in late 2004, as Anatole's drama and theater involvements led him to the drumming styles of one Daniel Alicea, Jimmy came back and temporary (base-less) 3-piece was formed. By mid-2005, Anatole had become a formidable singer and picked up bass guitar, Danny the same formidable force, and Jimmy the same kickass guitarist since he was 14. Thus Neutral Ground was on solid ground, and now they stand poised to face the future and make a name for themselves. And maybe have some fun. |
