my suggestion to you, as far as recording is: don't waste your money in a studio right now. you could put maybe 500-700 bucks into a few good vocals/guitar processors that have usb recording support, which most of the latest are now coming with, and record decent stuff using just your computer and a simple recording program like acid pro or cool edit pro. not to mention, no time restrictions when recording at home. since you're not dealing with drums and such right now, and you're just writing/recording some acoustic-type playing with vocals, that's all you would need to get you a nice demo made to flash around to other artists and some possible label opportunities. and one last thing, as far as the guitar part, you'll need a pickup in that acoustic of yours in order to record directly through a processor using it. but like I said, you'd be wasting money on studio time if you're just going to be recording yourself with nothing else but acoustic guitars. you can do that, and probably get just as good of a sound into it using your own gear at home. best of luck to you.
