From conception Luna's Lament has been a morbid array of musicians with influences ranging from TOOL, Opeth, Sabbath,Pink Floyd,Alice in Chains,King Crimson, Mars volta,Godsmack, and more. With all original material, this band is a breath of fresh air for the rock and metal genre. From the Carolinas, drummer Matt [The MAdman) Deese, and female guitarist Kimniption formed the band back in the spring of 2005. Since then they have gone through some member changes. The two refused to give up their search and soon found vocalist -Canadian John Paul (aka Ziggy). Then, out of the blue came Daniel Eskridge on bass. With Matt's hammering the skins and off beat style like that of Danny Carey, the chunked out rhythms of Kimniption's gunslinging ax, Ziggy's melodic raspy vocals,and the jazzlike low end of Daniels bass, Luna's Lament have formed a sound all their own.
