We were amused when our manager wrote to a venue and enquired about a gig. "Sorry" the booking agent said "we don't have anything" and he suggested a few other places, miles away, that we're quite suitable to only a singer song writer doing an acoustic set. Ah well we will leave him to it but it's a venue we wont be playing at until we're asked to do so.
Tomorrow night (24/01/07) sees us at Jabez Clegg, Manchester with a few other bands. The last time we played there two drunken roadies with the headline band made some sarcastic remark about Manchester to one of the punters and all hell broke loose. A lot of pushing and shoving and everyone was asked to leave the venue. Only trouble was we left the venue the same time as the drunks who assumed we were with the other guy and they wanted to attack us. These guys were idiots before they had taken any alcohol and by the end of the evening they were absolute morons. We loved the band they we were with though.

Paris was great and we enjoyed the road trip although very tiring. The venue spec was not up to much but those who were there really appreciated the effort we put into the set and the fact that we were different (soundwise) to anything they had seen before. The lift up the Eifel Tower is scary and Absinthe is very, very enjoyable. We hope to see Paris again later this year.

A lot has happened recently. Yes it has - and it's difficult to remember it all. We had a disasterous gig at the annual In The City 2006 music convention - blown fuses, power cuts and a laptop that re-booted itself three times which completely ruined our set. This was followed by two absolutely faultess gigs from which we got quite a few follow up bookings and CD sales.
A booking in Paris on New Years Eve with a 350 mile journey home straight after. Promoter enquiries to do a 3 gig weekend in Prague plus Athens and Belgium festival plus a trip over the Pennines to Yorkshire making for a busy Spring 2007. We will see.
Next Home town gig 24/01/07 with Make Good Your Escape.
