| (more)Gisselle Garcia was born on July 2nd, 1987 in Miami, FL. Singing, dancing, and writing songs from the age of 5, she continued to perform for her family, while attending regular public schools in Miami-Dade County. She discovered her passion for music at age 11 when she joined the band at her middle school, playing the clarinet and french horn. However, in high school, continued her musical education, singing in the school choir to gain confidence in her voice. She sang "Remember Me This Way" at her graduation, and then went on to compete at several talent shows. The first show was Buscando Estrellas, a spanish TV show that began small, airing only in Miami and Puerto Rico. As the show progressed, so did she, performing at small concerts, singing "I Turn To You" by Christina Aguilera, and continued to compete while the show went nation-wide. Her first song was called "Desde Mi Ninez," which she wrote with her sister, and collaborated with songwriter and producer, Ray Casas. The second competition was called Talent Rock. Here, Gisselle met and networked with several A&R's and producers from Atlantic, Universal, and Sony BMG, to smaller record labels like Collekt and New Leaf Productions. Learning more about the industry, Gisselle went on to study more about the style, production, and songwriting, auditioning for Berklee College of Music, with "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished" by the musical theatre show Wicked, and was accepted. She studied there for a while, collaborated with a few musicians, wrote a couple of songs, and learned to better perform. She is now back in Miami, and the beautiful Tropical Weather, with a new musical perspective and maturity, to continue music, and just have fun! |
