This is Mainak “bumpy” Nag Chowdhury

I’m a freelance Bass player from Kolkata , India

I the six years of my career, I’ve played with nearly all major artists and Bands in the City and some of the Greats in the country, with the likes of Tanmoy Bose(Pt Ravi Shankar’s tabla player for the last decade),Amit chaudhuri’s This Is Not Fusion.
I’m comfortable with styles varying from Afro-Cuban, Pop, Rock to Carnatic and even peripheries of Jazz

I want to explore new territories in music and work with different musicians .

I’m touring Europe from the end of this month, and the details are as follows,

30th September: Fly to Frankfurt Performance at the theatreschauspielfrankfurt on 1st October

19th October: Leave for Lille, France, to participate in the Lille 3000 Festival of Literature and Music on the 22nd

23rd October: Travel to England.

26th October: Performance at the School of Music, University of East Anglia
2nd November: Performance at the British Museum, part of the Bengal Exhibition

3rd November: Leave for Brussels for performance at BOZAR festival5th November: Performance at Brussels BOZAR Festival.

7th November: Return to India.
