Musician Wanted
Still looking ... Orange County Band wants Bass Player Star 80 Bassist We have paid gigs booked for December 2, 9, 16, January 7, 13-14. We have the contacts to do Twin Palms and similar high paying venues once we have a demo cd and a VIDEO DVD. After Dec 2, we only rehearse once a month. That's for new list songs and any ORIGINALS we add. See Joanna perform at our under-construction site http:/ / www.star80band.com click on VIEW OUR DEMO. This video will be replaced with STAR 80 VIDEO beginning December 3. We have a large deposit with a pro photographer. The firm date for a shoot is October 24. Star 80 photo will be similar to the placeholder Blondie Photo. We are seeking someone with a gig experience and great talent. If you can read music you will be in good company. If not, we prefer someone who can play by ear easily. Being able to do sing background and harmony are a must. Singing lead 5-9 songs a night is a big plus. Having POP/ DANCE originals is a SUPER PLUS. We all have day jobs. Joanna is the bandleader. You must be a team player and flexible. Stage "presence" is required as we incorporate a bit of choreography. We believe they came for the performance as well as the music. Joanna White is 31, Danny Gamboa is 36, Donovan Raitt [yes he's realated to her] 22, Minn Kim is 34. YOU CAN BE ANY AGE! Auditions Monday evening near Whittier CA. Be prepared for a 1/ 2 hour audition with these songs: Play That Funky Music-Wild Cherry Higher Ground-Red Hot Chili Peppers Only The Lonely-The Motels 562-945-6394 for any questions. Thanks, John White, Manager Star 80 SONG LIST [No originals until second Saturday in January.]
