 Dec 15, 09 Boston Band wants Singer Coaster Thieves Is Looking For A New Singer Coaster Thieves, an eclectic, independent-minded rock band from the Boston area is seeking a new singer.
We are looking for a dynamic front person with serious vocal ability, range, stamina, and a commanding stage presence. We need someone who is professional, dedicated, honest, and open-minded. Versatility is key, as the band’s material touches on many different styles within the rock genre. Previous band experience is required.
We require that you be willing and able to contribute to the songwriting process. Also must be willing to perform existing material as the band has released two full albums on SwiftDog Records. Our latest, New Horizons, was released in March of 2009 and has been getting some local radio support. We were recently featured as the HomeGrown artist of the month on PIXY103 and we have also recently been played on WAAF’s BayState Rock.
The band consists of 2 guitars, bass, and drums. We have a diverse musical background that draws inspiration from many places. We are fans of everything including classic & progressive rock, funk, jazz, punk, alternative, surf, metal, and everything in between. Some key influences include Beatles, Ramones, Hendrix, Rush, Social Distortion, Toadies, Smithereens, Living Colour, Primus, Soundgarden, G’n’R, Van Halen, Dream Theater, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, Tool, and Zappa.
We have a large and secure practice space in Brockton, MA. We have full, pro-level PA and enough gear to play any venue. We are looking to promote our new album and hope to play as many shows as we can.
