 Still looking ... Los Angeles Singer wants Band Rock Singer Seeks Serious Bandmates Hey, I am a 21-year-old who just moved out here to pursue...you guessed it...a career as a rock singer and composer.
I am looking for bandmates to build a serious rock band: people who live and breathe music and who want to make music a career rather than just a hobby. If you're an established band looking for a vocalist or if you are individual instrumentalist, please get back to me. This band will go on tour and sell lots and lots of records with the right sort of commitment, connections and business sense!
I am interested in a style that has classic/ progressive rock and new wave influences (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Blondie, Radiohead, Coldplay, U2). I can compose and write lyrics, but would probably want to arrange some sort of team effort for composition.
I will need people for the following parts:
--lead guitar
--bass
--keys/ synthesizer
--drums
And, ultimately:
--management
--investors
You MUST be:
--Reliable, committed and SERIOUS about this band, and staying in Los Angeles so that we can develop and build a sound here.
--Interested in backing a female vocalist
--interested in going "big" with this band (touring, recording albums, etc.)
It also helps if you:
--care about music from a creative/ compositional/ emotional perspective and not just technical skill (i.e. you probably think classic rock is better than modern rock)
--have experience and connections in the industry
--have years of musical experience/ a large amount of technical chops
--are easy to work with and drama-free
--are fair and trustworthy
--only use drugs/ alcohol recreationally or not at all
--can give objective and constructive criticism of our music on a regular basis
--are male and between the ages of 18 and 30 (if this band is going to have longevity, you should be young and have the stamina to tour and work for many years)
--have a rehearsal space/ cool instruments/ a large transportational vehicle
Since this will be the start of a serious relationship, obviously we would have to try each other out and see how the project develops before making long-term commitments (like dating!), but ONLY respond if you have the same objectives in a creative project as I do (to commit to this band and ultimately go on international tours).
I am also looking to make friends and engage in more casual projects to get my feet wet in this city, so respond no matter what and we will get to know each other.
