Musician Wanted
Still looking ... Boston Keyboard Player wants Sessions Iconoclastic versatile keyboardist for your sessions! Looking to get a unique, tasteful keyboard on your album/ demo/ other magnum opus? I'll help you out. My style is in the classic/ rootsy/ swampy rock, folk, country, blues, prog and pop veins. I'm *not* a jazz wanker at all. Biggest influences include Randy Newman, Billy Payne (Little Feat), Benmont Tench, Dr. John, Donald Fagen, Steve Winwood, Nicky Hopkins, and composers such as Debussy and Gershwin. B.A. in music composition. I'm well-versed in the operation and application of the acoustic piano (classically trained), Hammond B-3, Wurlitzer EP, Rhodes EP, Hohner Clavinet, Yamaha DX-7 FM synthesizer, and other various machines. Years of experience as a working, gigging, recording musician. I've worked with artists such as Patrick Droney (look him up...very talented...I appear on his debut album), Kate Taylor, Arlen Roth, the late Mindy Jostyn, and others. My current main project is The Road Apples, a guitarless pop/ alternative/ prog four-piece outfit in Boston: http:/ / www.myspace.com/ roadapplesband. Much more material available upon request. I work best by ear, and have a very individualistic style, but am always open to and eager for suggestions. I also sing, and love a good backup harmony part. Own my own gear (Yamaha S-90 ES, Clavia Nord Electro 2, Yamaha DX-7, etc), and can get around the Boston area easily. Rates very negotiable. Not looking to start a new band. Let's see what we can do! Tally ho!
