Southampton Band Wants Any Musician

Still looking ... Southampton Band wants Any Musician Musical Misfits: join the online, real life music community. This community's about two things: Do you feel like a misfit and that you don't belong to any group at all? Are you musical or into music in a big way? Then this could be the group for you! Here's a bit about myself (the organiser): I'm 30 years old, have been playing the drums for about 16 years, just started playing piano, gig regularly, want to build my own recording studio and have a chemistry degree! Life's pretty good but I just can't relate to most people because I don't fit into one group or category. Can't hang out with the rockers because I listen to jazz, can't hang out with the goth's because I'm into techno, can't fit in with the scientist's because I'm an artist. Know the feeling? Drives me mad. Why can't we have a social community where we can play metal, techno, drum 'n' bass, funk, jazz fusion, dance, world music and hip-hop all in the same evening? I want to meet people who like Strapping Young Lad and Katatonia but who also dig Steely Dan, Frank Zappa and Miles Davis! I also want to make some open-minded musician friends as there is currently a gap in my life there. I also envisage some interesting musical crossover acts being formed from this community.
