M One Studios Cruise Ship Entertainment agency is currently hiring for 4 positions: Showbands: We\'re currently seeking EXPERIENCED and PROFESSIONAL individual musicians: Pianists, Guitarists, Drummers, Bassists, Saxophonists (doubles may be required), Trumpeters, and Trombonists for work in Showbands, which are house bands in cruise ships\' theaters. All musicians must have excellent reading skills (both chord charts and standard notation), and able to learn difficult music very quickly. Varying musical genres will be performed every night, so versatility is also a requirement. Applicants must be available for contracts ranging from 4-6 months in length. Salaries start at $1900-$2200 per month and include travel/ food/ lodging/ medical. Send email for information on audition process. Dance Bands: These should be high-energy ensembles, 4-5 pieces, that are able to play popular hit songs from the 60s through today. Only recognizable Top 40 music - no originals, and must cover several genres. Bands should have at least one female, need to be highly entertaining, and need to be able to commit to at least 2-3 months at a time. Salaries start at $700/ week per member plus travel/ food/ lodging/ medical. Bands must be able to provide a 5-10 minute demo video. Lounge Bands: These groups are 3-4 pieces, and should play standards, ballroom, and easy listening. These groups must also be very entertaining, and able to play several ballroom dance styles as well as some jazz and possibly light pop. Salaries start at $600/ week per member plus travel/ food/ lodging/ medical. Bands must be able to provide a 5-10 minute demo video. String Ensembles: 3-4 Pieces. Must have a large repertoire and be able to commit to 3-4 months. Salaries start at $500/ week, including travel/ food/ lodging/ medical. Must have a 15-20 minute DVD or Video, individual resumes and a complete song list. To ALL musicians: Whether or not you’re available, if you feel you know of other musicians or bands who WOULD be available, ask about our referral program! You can make up to $1500 for referring us a musician or ensemble available for this type of work. This is your chance to get paid while traveling to amazing places around the world! You will be working with incredible musicians from around the world on a daily basis. Cruise ships are an amazing networking opportunity.
