Musician Wanted
Still looking ... Edinburgh Singer wants Band Talented and creative female singer wanted \"A Garden of Strange Flowers\" is looking for a talented and creative female singer. Asking for too much? Please visit www.myspace.com/ agardenofstrangeflowers to get an idea for the type of music and influences, mostly Depeche Mode, Dead Can Dance, Faith and the Muse, The Cure, Cocteau Twins, Lunascape, amongst others. The aim is a varied studio project along the lines of darkwave/ goth/ world/ medieval/ rock/ electro/ tribal/ ambient... Wanting to take this project to a more serious and higher level, after starting it with some friends, while still keeping the fun and enjoyment of the creative process. Ideally you should be versatile, able to enchant or to rock, to sing sweetly or scream like a banshee, whisper sensually or wail like mad... and not to be scared of the microphone ;-). You will experiment with your voice and let it shine on the music, singing in tongues, the voice used as another instrument... although often we will add \'proper\' lyrics. At the moment I just want to do some studio work and release the music, but I\'m not too keen on live performance, not yet. Lots of music ready to sing on and much more in the form of melodies, harmonies and ideas, ready to adapt them to your style and for you to have a real input into it, both musically and lyrically. Some commitment essential and the will to meet at the very least once a week. Despite of the darkness of the music and themes, good sense of humour, although not needed, it is definitely preferred.
