Nanaimo Keyboard Player Wants Sessions

Apr 18, 08 Nanaimo Keyboard Player wants Sessions Got Groove? I'm an experienced pianist.who has a strong classical background and a B.A. in Jazz, but can no longer stomach most 'mainstream' Jazz. I'm looking to play with someone, anyone who has a Jazz background, who wants to play something a little more modern and funky. I don't need a full band, just one person with the right attitude is enough. You'll have to be open to experimenting and not worrying about having a sexy sound the first day, as I bleieve that beautiful things take a little more time than that. Also, I want to get beyond THEORY and just focus on pure sound. Musical influences that are closest to the sound I have in mind are: Medeski Martin and Wood, Squarepusher, some Victor Wooten, some drum and bass music, uh... Propellor Heads, some Daft Punk, Greyboy and anything that could be described as "hiphop electro jazz". BTW I also play sax and vox.
