Still looking ... Toronto Other wants Band I have worked with some of the finest nightclubs in G.T.A. including...This Is London, The Fifth, Shmooze, Squeeze and My Apartment...(just to name a few). After many years in the \"typical\" club scene, I am interested in trying some new avenues. I feel that I would be an excellent asset to any band that is open minded. My vision is to offer venues a unique experience that can be described this way....Imagine having a \"band\" that offers one of its members up to start off the night approximately one hour before the first scheduled set. The chosen member would be the \"DJ\". If I was this member, I would warm any crowd up before the rest of the band joined me. It doesn\'t even matter what type of crowd we\'re dealing with, I am confident they will be pumped up by the time my teammates join me on stage. Please keep in mind that (with this idea) the DJ obviously needs to be on stage with the rest of the band...possibly even in place of the drummer OR on the opposite sides facing one another). During the period of time that I am on stage alone, some form of stage lighting will illuminate only the DJ area. The rest of the lighting will flare up when the rest of the band arrives. When the rest of the band arrives, the DJ\'s role will change. Instead of playing popular songs from famous artists, I would suddenly focus more on complimenting whatever my teammates are playing. For example, I I was needed to do some cool scratching or sampling throughout a tune, that\'s what my role would be for that song. If on the other hand, I was needed to just drop beats in place of the drummer or to give the drummer a break, I could also do that too. Basically, in all honesty, I would be more of a novelty than anything else. I believe the crowds would not only think it to be cool & unique, but they would also like what the DJ does during the breaks (between sets). Although the rest of the band is allowed to take customary breaks, I would stay on stage pretty much for the entire evening. If I were to take a break at all, it would be when the band is on stage (and a drummer is still present). Of course, a lot of these decisions would be made between the entire band. I think this idea mostly suits bands that are hip and willing to play a brand of music that makes people wanna dance. However, I also feel that this idea would suit ANY type of music genre if done right. If this idea sounds interesting to you and you have a band already in place, please contact me so we can chat. Thanks very much....
