Musician Wanted
Still looking ... Toronto Band wants Lead Guitars Band seeking guitar and keyboard player Gryffen is looking for our 5th element. Someone who can play guitar AND keys. Nothing too complicated, imagination and attitude is more important than technical skill. We are a band with a wide range of sounds; Rock, Pop, House, Jungle, Electro, Disco, Trip-Hop, Acoustic... and whatever comes from blending these styles together. We've played the majority of small and medium sized venues in Toronto and have the attention of a handful of indie labels who want to work with us but we need to find a 5th member to complete our sound before moving forward with any of their offers. We are looking for someone who... - Has their own gear AND transportation (sorry, our vehicles are already stretched too thin transporting our own gear for shows to accommodate another member's setup as well... then again if you're really awesome then maybe we can work something out), - Is influenced by or at least listens to a wide variety of music... especially various forms of 'electronic' music. - Will provide ideas of his or her own, as well as take instruction. In this band, the songs come first so we'll need you to play whatever it requires; the lead synth line, the backing guitars, "oooh, sha-la-la's" in the chorus and of course... more cow-bell. - Can commit to weekly practice and frequent gigs. We don't have any delusions of grandeur... WE WILL BE HUGE, it's a fact, not a delusion. Have a listen here and decide for yourself: www.myspace.com/ gryffen ...these are our early demos, our live sound is of course far more intense. Respond here or find me on facebook, Sergio Abegao.
