Still looking ... New York Band wants Bass Player Rebel Tumbao seeks Electric and Baby Bass player Based in New York city, Rebel Tumbao (Rebel “groove”) is a new project that combines the depths of Afro-Cuban grooves with the depths of roots reggae. The concept behind the project is the performing (and recording) of very creative arrangements of Bob Marley’s music and Matt Jenson’s original compositions. This is NOT a cover band…it’s an extension of Marley’s radical political and conscious raising vibes, now for the 21st century. Ground work for the group has been set and now we are ready to assemble one SERIOUS band. We are looking for an inspired relationship with the right playa! Must have deep love for the art of a simple, profound groove. This is a 10-piece, take-no-prisoners, orchestra spearheaded by keyboardist/ arranger Matt Jenson and Jose Claussell, world renowned percussionist currently with Eddie Palmieri. Influences: 1. Bobby Rodriguez 2. Familyman Barrett 3. James Jamerson SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. We are looking for player who feels this project to be very much a part of their overall purpose as a musician and who is willing to make a serious commitment as we build a high profile international-class outfit with the ultimate aim to free people with music!
