 Still looking ... Houston Band wants Keyboard Player ATTENTION CHRIST LOVING, ENTHUSIASTIC SOUL WINNERS . I am actively looking to fulfill a vision that the Lord had given me sometime ago to form an audible testimony that is Intellectual Soulmate©. Without going into every detail (which would take three hours and several thousand words to convey), I was given a very powerful and vivid vision that was meticulous in scope and I am looking for some very talented and dedicated Christ like musicians to help me bring the Lords will to fruition. I am a singer/ song writer in the North Houston area that has made a 180 degree turn from secular music to the wonderful way that is Christ witnessing (through incredible God given tunes) and although this calling is in it’s infancy, with Gods guidance and with the doors available that just need to be walked through, it will be in a state of maturity very, very soon with your assistance God willing. Currently there are 17 songs written for what will be the first album (The Way) and we are looking for the following pieces to complete the puzzle. A heart thumping point driving BASSIST, a shredding, life defining LEAD GUITARIST capable of playing out of different styles, a ground driving, shake you to the core of your soul, DRUMMER and a talented, point conveying powerhouse PIANIST/ KEYBOARDIST (experience and ability to harmonize a plus but not totally necessary). The style of the music is derived from years of admiration from the likes of the Beatles, Eagles, Seger, ELO, Creed, Switchfoot, Kutless, Toby Mac, Dave Matthews Band, Evanescence, Queen, P.O.D, Mercy Me, Lifehouse, Newsboys, Big Daddy Weave, Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Israel Houghton, DC Talk, The Frey, Chevelle, Jeremy Camp, Jeremy Riddle, Rush of Fools, Jars of Clay, and Third Day just to name a few. There are currently only two members, myself (long time singer with a chorus, praise and worship band back ground that through God has written some powerful melodies as an acoustic rhythm guitar player that needs your talents to fulfill these blessings) and an electric rhythm guitar player that is relatively new to playing but has an ear for music and accompaniment that is truly God given. I am 33 years old and currently lead (and am about to give the lead responsibilities to another worthy soul, to concentrate on this calling) a praise team at a young church in the Cleveland, Texas area and the first order of business is the creation of a new music ministry within this Church in the form of a Saturday night youth service a couple of times a month to start (this particular area is ripe for soul winning). Again, without going into every detail, the doors that have opened up that leads me to believe that this is God’s will are as follows. Started with a vision one night at about 3:00 in the morning when God literally showed me the name of the band in a very magnificent and spiritual way that literally brought me to tears. A wife that kept on me to re-focus my efforts musically to witness for the Creator: A co-worker/ long time friend that has an uncle that is a senior talent scout/ song writer for a major record label that has pretty much told me that when I get everything together to send it to him and he would get it to the right people. A friend and co-worker of my lovely bride that upon hearing a rough demo of two of these songs, wanted to immediately take a copy to her fiancée’s best friend that happens to be a major player in the Christian music scene that leads praise and worship at one of the largest Church’s in the country (I told her the songs were not quite ready YET but when they were she absolutely could take them to him). Encouragement from many friends, family members, congregation members and total strangers that God has brought to me in the form of divine appointments that have told me I need to get these songs produced: A Pastor that loves soul winning and has given me free reign in creating this ministry: A 16, 000 sq foot facility with as much space and practice room that we need. A new friend and co-praise team member that literally opened the front door for our Pastor when he was looking at our new facility (coming from a room at the Greenspoint Marriot: Praise God) that by no coincidence was looking to join a praise team and is a 44 year music veteran that is a genius on the Guitar that has done just about everything that can be done in the performance and recording segments of the industry including producing, mastering, sound engineering and editing (that moved down here 6 months ago to form a new venture with a successful friend of his that includes the building of a RECORDING STUDIO now under construction) that has also heard the songs and said “they have a lot of potential and that they sound like music you would hear on the radio” and has told me he would produce the songs. His wife that plays the keyboard in our praise team that is responsible for art work and CD duplication for many Houston area bands. Another new friend and co-praise team member that has a son that fronts the house band at a very popular Christian Night club about ten minutes from the Church that has given me the contact info for the person that can help us book our first gig (this happening many weeks after seeing this club and researching what it took to get in the door PRAISE JESUS!). These along with several other blessings that again cannot be construed as anything other than Gods divine guidance has prompted me to get off the fence and follow his commandments. As I said, I wont go into too much detail (blew that one away after the 500th word; God I hope the classifieds can handle an ad this big) and I would Love to hear from any and everyone that reads this posting and feels within their spirit that this vision is very real and would like to join me in honoring the Lord Jesus Christ’s Great Commission as instructed in Mark 16:15, Luke 24:44 -49, John 20: 19 -23, and Acts 1: 4-8. And let’s not forget the one that I believe is specifically directed to us musicians:
