Still looking ... Chicago Band wants Singer The band formerly known as We used to be an established band called Mainstreet Minority. After parting ways with our singer the remaining members are looking to start a new project and are now recruiting singers. You can hear our old material at Myspace.com/ MainstreetMinority. We would be looking to stay in the same area but are looking to experiment with some new songs. We... 1)Are all solid musicians who have chops and know theory 2)Have experience but are all still young (20-26) 3)Know how to rock a stage 4) Have great gear and the knowledge to use it 5)Are completely dedicated to whatever project we start 6)Have contacts at a pro studio so we record for pretty cheap 7)Are easy to get along with 8)Practice 2-3 times a week 9)Have a free rehearsal space as we work at a music store and can use it from 9pm to the early hours of the morning. We\'d like you to be... 1)A great frontman. You don\'t have to be Freddie Mercury, just fun to watch and able to communicate with a crowd 2)A capable singer. Listen to our old stuff if you can\'t hit most of those notes chances are you wouldn\'t fit well with us. If your a GREAT singer awesome but still the most important thing is being comfortable with the frontman position 3)ideally 18-26. If you are under 21 we can get you an ID. If you are a little bit older than 26 we\'re not opposed but make sure you are ready to be in a dedicated band and not just something you think is cool. No older than 29 though 4)Good looking. Have an image. bring sexy back. get panties wet 5)Capable of writing melodies that grab people\'s attention 6)Not a dick and as dedicated as we are. So pretty much the basic stuff here. Ideally we would like to use our studio contacts to record an EP or full length and start off with a cd release show. After that play in Chicago twice a month and then outside of Chicago twice a month at colleges and such.
