Still looking ... Orlando Band wants Singer ARE YOU THE NEXT DEAD IDOL ??? ARE YOU THE NEXT DEAD IDOL ? ? ? 5 BILLION DEAD ANNOUNCES SEARCH FOR THE NEXT HEAVY METAL ICON !!! DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES ? ? ? At long last it's time for 5 BILLION DEAD to give everyone an update on what has been happening with the band over the course of the last year or so, and to begin our search for a new vocalist. WHAT HAPPENED ? !? ! The short version is that ALEX, CHRIS and MATT are back together, writing some amazing new music, and our former vocalist STraiN has moved on to pursue his interest with his new band DEAD MENS DREAMS. The good news is that we are all still friends, and don't hate each other, in fact, we wish STraiN all the best, and hope that we will share the stage with his new band in the very near future. To make that happen, we've got some rather large shoes to fill, and have begun searching for a new vocalist. The criteria is simple :: ONLY THE BEST WILL DO !!! Throughout 5BD's history, we've had various labels major and indie approach the band, and have played some, if not all of the biggest and best shows throughout the southeastern United States. The bar has been set VERY high, and it's going to be tough to live up to everyone's expectations no doubt about it. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for a vocalist who is the complete package! Must be an amazing singer who can actually SING ala DIO, MAIDEN, ect. Growling is cool, but we hope to push the boundaries of METAL, and not simply be another faceless band. IMAGE IS EVERYTHING, and in this case, a good look, and presence is a must. CHARISMA, we need that unexplainable, intangible thing that captivates a crowd. COMMAND, 5BD is ultimately a LIVE band, so we need a vocalist who can command a crowd at will, and push them over the edge.
