 Still looking ... Nashville Rhythm Guitars wants Band Vocalist/Rhythm Guitarist starting a Hard Rock/Progressive Metal band I just moved to Nashville to play music full-time, and I desire to start an original band that is heavy but yet able to incorporate different styles of music into the songs. In other words, I am looking to start something with a heavy foundation that uses catchy melodies and harmonies on guitar and vocals. The only band that comes close right now to what I am envisioning is Dream Theatre. Although, I want to be heavier than they typically are as a whole. So don't think that I want to copy their style. But they are very musical and have a unique sound, which is what I am looking to have. Other infuences include Megadeth, Metallica, Soilwork, Opeth, Pantera, Collective Soul, Counting Crows, Relient K, Jim Croce, Simon and Garfunkel, classical composers a plenty. I hope to use elements of different genres to create a unique metal sound. So if this sounds like something you want to be involved in, please send a message my way. I am a very serious musician who wants to dedicate his life to music. Touring and releasing albums are the goals of this endeavor. Also, just in case you are considering whether I have the talent, just give me one chance and you will be pleasantly surprised. Though I want to sing and play rhythm, I am also a good lead player. Basically, I have mastered the rhythm side of guitar. This is not to be arrogant, but to assure you that I have both the talent and passion to succeed in music.
