Still looking ... Pittsburgh Band wants Lead Guitars TWK looking for Lead Guitar/Second Vocals Hello. We are Things Worth Knowing (TWK). Things Worth Knowing are; Jeanine, guitar/ vocals; Craig, drums; David, bass; and Shannon, manager. We are doing all original music (a cover here and there). We are looking for a lead guitarist (very FX, or sound driven, experimental... that can add ambiance, emotion and depth, not just mad licks) that can also handle up to half of the vocal work lead and/ or back up. We do have a very capable singer, but we are looking to mix up the overall sound of the band (bigger dynamic of male and female voices like The Pixies, or Straylight Run). Our style is hard to pinpoint, especially since we are still lacking all of the components and new people will only add to the overall sound and feel of the music. Most of the songs we have, at this point (about a dozen), the rhythm guitar parts are and will be acoustic. We see music as a very organic thing, it will grow and develop as it will, if forced it will sound forced. Different minds, backgrounds, styles, influences, will shape the sound in a natural way. We are hoping to be playing regularly (once or twice a month) by summer. The single thing holding us back is finding all the right pieces, and getting them all together. We practice 3 days a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday), on Neville Island, about 15min west of downtown, very easy to get to from just about anywhere. If you are interested or have any questions, you can email us at twk.band (at) gmail.com or call 412 seven five eight 4125
