 Still looking ... Atlanta Band wants Drummer Drummer Wanted for Signed/Touring Band Nophi Recordings / Polyvibe recordings is currently holding open auditions for a live (and touring) drummer. The project in question is a hearty mix of music styles, with an electronic backbone, and pop overtones.
Requirements:
1.) Willingness and availability to travel are an absolute must. Our first tour will begin in late April and run through mid-May 2007. Eventually, the band will spend upwards of 90 days on the road.
2.) Ability to play to a sequence/ click track. This is crucial to the execution of the majority of the songs. It isn’t easy, but is required.
3.) 4-piece drum kit with hi-hat, ride, and crash. All of the live drum tracks on the album were recorded using this set up.
4.) Ability to take musical direction from a band leader.
5.) Availability to meet 3 times per week and practice the set list until it is perfect. There are currently some one-nighters booked, so the sooner you get on board, the better.
6.) Steady, punctual transportation for you and your equipment.
7.) You must be free of all illegal drugs. Light to moderate drinking is fine, but we like to stress responsibility, clarity, and sobriety wherever possible.
8.) You must be able to take life on the road in stride, maintain a positive outlook, and be a team player. You will always come back with more than you left with: materially and spiritually.
Compensation:
1.) Percentage of all door receipts, and merchandise sales while on the road. (Based on experience and ability)
2.) Meals & accommodations will be provided while touring.
3.) First consideration of your ‘side projects’ for release on Nophi Recordings.
4.) Additional potential exists for product endorsement, interviews, and write-ups.
