 Still looking ... La Mesa Rhythm Guitars wants Band indie Dance Rock Guitarist play rhythm guitar, been doing vocals for various bands over the last 6 years, some lead based on more of a rhythm fill (not crazy metal leads), I know my way around the bass, fool around on the keys, and don\\\'t know much about drums. I\\\'m 23 and have been playing guitar for 6 years. I work full time 8-5. Open to jam anytime after that and most weekends. I live in an apartment so I can jam with a guitarist and/ or bassist there but would need to find another space to play with drums.
LOOKING FOR: musicians that are serious about music but not overwhelmingly serious. I also don\\\'t want flakes that are all excited the first week and then become impossible to get a hold of the next. Willing to take criticism and work well to develop songs. Easy to get along with in and out side of practices. People over 20 and under thirty.
MY SOUND:Most of my stuff is simple but layered. I study different style and mix them into a indie emo pop dance punk rock sound. Some influences: Jimmy eat World, Forgive Durden, The Spill Canvas, Death Cab for Cutie, Postal Service, Hot Hot Heat, Umbrellas, My Chemical Romance, Dashboard Confessional, All American Rejects, Panic at the Disco, Danger:Radio, Angles and Airwaves, Armor for Sleep, Copeland, Fall out boy, the get up kids, Rooney, Saves the day, taking back Sunday, and This providence. Each band has a distinct sound and thats what I really look for.
MY RIG: Ibanez Semi-hallow artcore (Strat Style) guitar with Seymour Duncan hot rod humbucker set (JB in the bridge and Jazz in the neck. Effects: Marshall Supervibe Chorus true bypass>Vox Valve tone overdrive (similar to a tube TS 808 tube screamer) also true bypass>Vox Brit Booster with treble booster and yes true bypass> Boss DD-20 Giga delay>Amp: Fender \\\'65 twin (stock 2 12\\\" speakers (comes with reverb and vib) I leave the reverb on and use the vib foot pedal switch.
