Musician Wanted
Still looking ... New York Band wants Drummer Drummer Wanted for gigging NYC rock band Hi - We have an original band named JAHOODOO. Its a foursome, keyboard, bass, guitar and drums. We are gigging regularly and starting to get a pretty nice regular crowd and venues. As drummers tend to do, ours exploded, so we need a new Bonham to our Zep. A new Moon to our Who. A new - you get the idea. We invite creative input and collaboration from everyone - including the drummer! And for that matter, if you write songs and can sing too, bring it on. This is a team. You can check us out at: www.myspace.com/ jahoodoo. We would like you to be able to handle the following: * Rehearse once per week in Midtown Manhattan (30th & 8th) * Pay your share of rehearsal time - $15 per week. * Be able to do a "pre-gig warmup rehearsal" on day of gig. * Be willing to actively solicit your list, friends, network etc. and do your part to get people to come to gigs. We also own our own drum kit, so we are able to play places that don't have their own full backline. On my space we describe ourselves as - Psychedelic, Rock, Punk - give it a listen and see if it fits for you. And be forwarned - our biggest weakness to date has been our recording quality, so with that in mind, enjoy. We are working on the recording thing - we own a MOTU unit, mics and assorted gear - just need someone reliable to work it. We have a solid 50 minute set, with more songs that we're working on now. Looking forward to your response and when doing so, tell me something about you, and any clips, mp3s, myspace, pure volume etc. to check out. Marc
