FIRSTJASON, a metal rock project by Ari Lehman, who played the first Jason Voorhees in the horror cult classic, "Friday the 13th" (1980) has emerged as a force in Horror Rock. Metal rock, inspiration from cinematic theme, and deep dub, punctuated with searing guitar, edgy bass lines, and hard-hitting drums, are masterfully blended by this superb singer, songwriter, and keyboardist. A seasoned recording artist and professional musician, Ari already received acclaim with his world rock and reggae band, Ari Ben Moses Band, when upon moving to Chicago in late 2002, he (after long laying quiet about his 1980 role) was "discovered" by horror fans who actively sought his attention. In response to their enthusiasm, Ari drew upon his 20 years' experience as a professional musician and recording artist and created FIRSTJASON specifically for Horror Fans, especially the fans of Jason Voorhees and "Friday the 13th". FIRSTJASON has performed in clubs, festivals, and conventions throughout the Chicago area. The engaging showmanship and superior musicianship have consistently received enthusiastic response and have developed a strong following. FIRSTJASON has recently been featured on the cover of the Chicago Reader and in Blender Magazine. OK - here is the situation: we are scheduled to go into the studio July 25th, and we need a Bassist! We have gigs coming up on September 9th in St. Louis ($200/ per man all expenses paid) and in Chicago on Halloween weekend, October 28th ($150/ per man). We also have been cast to be in an independent Horror film. All profits from the recording will be evenly split after initial expenses are covered. What we need is someone who is familiar with the Metal genre, looks the part, and can learn songs FAST. Is this you? If so, PLEASE contact me ASAP!
