Boston Band wants Drummer Hard-driving polit alt/retro band seeks nasty drums Marlboro based (free space), 30s or so, we are 2 guits, bass and ld voc, looking for a drummer with good instincts and a sharp attack, who doesn't happen to be a human time bomb (hehe)... Good base of solid original material developing, keen appreciation of good beer and smoke friendly atmosphere (but we keep it within reason and get stuff done...) Infl: Mission of Burma, Clash, Pixies, PJ, early T Heads, Who-Zep-Kinks, Cure, Floyd, Camper Van Beethoven etc etc... (70s-80s hard/ alt)... Polit infl incl: huxley, Orwell, HS Thompson, Alex Jones... Practice 1x/ wk, good connections for gigs and recording... Laid back -- no ego dopes -- we have a good time and focus on creating cool stuff with energy, bite, and a point.
