 Still looking ... Pittsburgh Bass Player wants Band Bassist looking for work Bassist ( just relocated here from Chicago ), 36, tour and studio experience, pro gear, looking for 2 different projects - one original, one cover. Sorry, metal or hard rock please. I have a tastefully busy / very groove oriented style ( Oh yea, I also use effects) and I have a fun easy going professional attitude. I also play guitar, drums, mandolin, keys and sing.
Original - what do you have going on ( more the better )? I prefer acoustic or piano fronted but will also consider alt rock-ish, alt country, country, blues, Funk, R& B, pop, jam-ish, experimental, beach or soul styles. I also write and would like to contribute to the group - i.e. full member. I'm also willing to back solo artists - hired musician.
Cover - I'm in it for the money and fun. Alt rock, country, blues, pop, acoustic rock, beach ( I really really like Buffett / beach country stuff ), dance, whatever it takes to stay working. I hate to use this line, but ' party band ' comes to mind. I do have one condition, I don't like to play anything ' as it's written ' . The band has to be able to add their own style / flavor to tunes to keep it interesting for the musicians and the crowd.
With that being said, I'm looking for either already established groups or individuals that want to do either or better yet, both! I have found, through my experience, that groups that have two faces seems to work really well ( and work allot ). You get more time to play together and get tight and at the same time you're not going over the same songs all the time.
