BackfireStill looking ... Boston Band wants Bass Player ATTN All BASSISTS Bassists looking for the opportunity to play shows, grow musically, and generally rock out, please read further… Backfire is sad to announce that our current Bassist, will be entering the “real world” with the start of his new job. While we celebrate his accomplishments and will miss him dearly, Backfire will be auditioning new bassists in the coming weeks and hopefully transitioning them while he is still available to lend his talent. Backfire can best be described as a blend of classic rock and grunge, with elements of blues and jazz. Backfire is from Glastonbury, CT, but will be relocating to Boston, MA this summer to pursue greater music opportunities and share its music with a larger community. Interested bassists should reside in proximity to the city, be willing to relocate, or be able to commute at least 3-4 evenings a week for practice. If you are interested in auditioning, please first check out our website, www.backfireonline.com for music samples, résumé, and more to learn about the band. Also, we strongly encourage you to check us out in concert at the Webster (Hartford, CT) on June 16, 2006 to get a taste of our sound. Please contact Kevin B. Gilnack, Manager, at booking@backfireonline, Subject: I am a Future Rock Star Bassist. Please include your name, age, current address, cell phone number, whether or not you will be attending the show, number of years on the bass, experience with other instruments and bands, and anything else you think we should know!! If you are not a bassist, please share this message with any musicians you know and help us find our next all-star drummer. Thanks, Kevin. Kevin B.
